A Very Interesting Show

One spring day, our class went to the “Children Cancer Center. We presented to the children a beautiful performance. We showed them a story about the King and his sons.

The king wanted his sons to marry. The four sons were Danila, Emelya, Ivan and Gavrila who went to look for girls to marry. Danila found a beautiful girl. Her name was Ylyana. Ylyana never smiled, she was always sad.

The next son Gavrila found his wife. She was Akulina-Krasavitsa. She was very brave and funny. When the King saw the two wives, he said: “Whose son’s wife will be the most beautiful, he will sit on the throne with a crown on his head”.

The next son Ivan found his wife. She was Maryushka. She was tall and beautiful with blond hair. Maryushka and Ivan danced in front of the King.
The fourth son Emelya found his  wife in Asia. She was Tsar’s daughter. She was not tall and beautiful. She danced the Arabian dance. But she lied. The Caucasian  Dzhigit (a brave fellow) came and stole her. Emelya was left alone. The King  got very angry.

After that Danila and Gavrila danced traditional Russian dances. They were very funny. Then the Dzhigit came and danced Lezginka (the traditional Caucasian dance). It was a very interesting show.
All children smiled a lot.

We were very happy, because we presented a smile to children!

And Now 7c Class Went to the Children's Cancer Center

7c class showed a fairy tale “How the Sons of the King Peas Chose Their Brides". Little kids really enjoyed it.

In the Children's Cancer Center we presented sick children of different ages a performance. The content was funny. After the performance, we decided to donate the gifts, which were gathered by all the students of our school: chocolate eggs, candies and toys.

Our class and school hoped to present children a smile and we did it! We hope that with our help they will recover...

The Main Thing

One winter day our class had an English lesson. We corrected our news and our
pupils asked our teacher Irina Vladimirovna to go to the Children’s Cancer Centre. The teacher of music Irina Yurievna wrote the fairytale for us. We agreed at once. We tried hard to perform this beautiful fairytale. We needed a lot of decorations and costumes.
We showed a story about the king and his four sons, who chose the brides.
One spring day we went in the Children’s Cancer Centre. Our class played fine. The children were happy. We will go there with the performance once again someday.

I think, that our performance was beautiful. We presented a smile to the children and this is the main thing. Now the children feel better and we are glad for them very much.

The children were delighted

One winter day our class had a lesson of English. We corrected our news and spoke about the 7”D” class, which visited the Children Cancer Center with a concert. And our class wanted to visit it too. We wanted to make this performance to present to children a smile.  And our teacher Irina Vladimirovna suggested to do it after Easter on 28th of 2011.
Two weeks later we began to rehearsal our fairytale. Our music teacher Irina Yurievna is the author of this fairytale.  Every Thursday, Friday and Saturday we rehersaled for 3 hours. We worked very hard.
Irina Vladimirovna called to TV center and asked them to come to the Children Cancer Center to make a programme about our concert. On 28th of April we went to this center. But the main doctor of this center was on holiday and the assistant said to the reporters: “Who are you? I don’t know about the concert”. After it the reporters returned to the TV studio.

Our concert began on 12.00. All children were very glad to watch this fairytale. After this performance we presented to all children the gifts, which were gathered by the students of our school. The children were delighted.

                                                       European Legends
                                   On The School Stage
Students of the 7thclasses performed extracts from legends at  the theater festival “European Legends”.

By Julia Pak & Alla Travnikova

The performance was great! All classes have shown themselves to be good actors, dancers and singers. There were many extracts from  various legends. Thus 7C performed two legends -  “Robin Hood” and “Swan Lake", 7showed an extract from the legend “Poseidon”, 7D presented some Irish Legends. “King Arthur” was shown by 7A. “ Robin Hood" was acted by 7E.

    Talents of Our School
There is a Poetry Festival for the eighth grade students and the Drama festival for the nineth form students in our school every winter.

The Drama Festival was devoted to the favourite pages from books in English. Every year children present very beautiful scenes. And this is year the students showed extracts from "Hamlet", "Treasure Island", "The Hound of Baskerville", "Prince & Popper". Most of all we liked the shows of 9 D form ("Treasure Island") and 9C form with the play by George Bernard Shaw “Pygmalion”. The play had three scenes with classical music played on the piano during the intervals.
The Poetry Party revealed lots of  talents and creativity. For example 8C class recited poems by Kipling and Byron in the English language and sang the song “The Brothers Four”. The 8E class showed us “the dancing puppets “ performing in Shakespeare’s theatre. They had a spectacular dance and surprises for the audience. The students of 8B class amazed everybody with the poem by P. Elliot “Cats” with Kirill Matyash and Kirill Baranov as Mac Cavities. One of them recited the poem in English and the other in Russian. And they danced! Dancing and singing of the 9B students showed that Robert Burns is still very popular.
We are looking forward for participating in such parties next year.

David Gvasalia
A quick mare is in time everywhere” - many students of school 65 follow this proverb.
In the year of 2010, the students of school 65 defended honor of our school in the district and city sports competitions. There were competitions in ping pong, basketball, track and field, chess.
The ping pong team is the winner of the district and city competitions. The winners are Jaroslav Karasev, Alexander Polinichenko, Evgeniy Afanasev and Violeta Kalashnikova. We wish our team to take part in the World Cup competitions.
Our basketball team won the 2nd place in the district competitions. In this hard contest they tried to win: Andrey Konstantinov, Artem Nechaev, Michail Burikov, Sergey Samoylenko, Roman Belichenko, Roman Nikitin and Fejruz Ragimov are not upset, because and the 2nd place is wonderful!
Our chess-players won the district competitions easily. But our team was only the 3rd in the city competitions. However, the struggle for the 2nd place was at the end. We needed just a little to win. Our bronze prizewinners are George Temerev, Daniel Jaroshenko, Oleg Glebov, Ekaterina Savitkaya. Still we didn't loose everything because our team, under certain circumstances, can play in the regional competitions. Let's wish good luck to our team!
And that's it for now. George Temerev, David Gvasalia are with you!
