The 7C grade students are preparing for the School Theatre Festival. At the moment they are performing an extract from the legend “Swan Lake”.

The performance will be unusual because of the songs in the style of medieval rock, two fascinating fights, in one of them the knights will struggle with their swords. A fortuneteller, some beautiful medieval dances and Tudor Rose will add charm to it.
We believe that the performance will be unforgettable.
The Concert Hall will be filled with the sense of the medieval time!

The students of the 7D grade are going to show a Fairy Tale for the kids in the Children Cancer Centre.

Traditionally the students of our school try to support kids in the Children Cancer Centre. All grades gather games, toys, books, pencils, paints for them. This year the students of the 7D grade will show the kids a fairy tale and present them our gifts. Last year they showed “Winter Fairy Tale” and this year they are going to present them “Cinderella”.

We asked them, “Why do you do it?” and they answered, We want kids in the hospital to smile.”

       Unusual Adventures

Of Tom Sawyer and   Huck Finn

The students of 7 grades visited the Rostov Academic Young People Theatre in November holidays. They saw a wonderful performance "Unusual Adventures of Tom Sawyer and Huck Finn" there.

Happy end - Tom and Becky are together
Sid spies after girls

Tom, Sid and Huck are composing a new adventure

In this musical with dances and songs beauty, happiness and love for life pour from the stage to the spectators. Every lesson is unforgettable and necessary and every scene is funny and really curious.
Our schoolmates liked this performance very much. All actors are brilliant but we want to express our thanks to Gregory Volkov, who stares Tom Sawyer; Denis Nethediev, who stares Tom's classmate; Ekaterina Kalinina who stares Emmy Laurens. Gregory Volkov has become a real Tom Sawyer. He sincerely understands Tom’s feelings. Denis Nethediev has a very humorous nature. He jokes in the tense moments and makes this performance funny and unusual. Ekaterina Kalinina is a star among the girls. Our girls dream to be like her and imitate all her actions.
We like the first break in Tom's school most of all. The director made it real. The kids make fun, jump, run and do all the things which usually our school children do.
We are looking forward to seeing the new performance in the Young People Theatre.

The students do not want to bring changing shoes to school… The singing bus was moving along the Rostov streets… Good cooks in the school canteen…

On November 26, nine students did not bring changing shoes with them to school.

The students on duty took their record books for remarks. If we want to keep our school clean we must bring clean shoes to change.

The students of the 7”E” grade visited the Philharmonic Society.

They enjoyed the concert “What a Wonderful Instrument  Our “Balalaika Is”, which was performed by the excellent musicians. They played Russian folk music. “Balalaika” is a traditional Russian folk instrument with 3 strings.
After the concert the students were so happy that they sang songs in the bus and the whole city could hear their voices.

The students of our school are glad to have good cooks in the school canteen.

Everybody is happy to have good meals in our canteen. A lot of students come here for lunch. We can buy the traditional Russian “vatrushkas” (buns with cottage cheese), Georgian “Khachapuri” (buns with cheese), Ukranian “borsh” (vegetable soup), Armenian “gata” (sweet buns) and Italian “pizza”.

Saint Dimitry Rostovky Is the Angel of Our City

On the 10th of November the Rostovites celebrated
St Dimitry Rostovsky Day.

By Dimitry Pyatnitskiy
In November there was a holiday of St Dimitry Rostovsky. He is the Patron Saint of our city. Rostov-on-Don is named after him.
St Dimitry Rostovsky is also my angel. When I was born, I was given his name.
I studied the names of the boys in our school. There are 22 boys who have the name of Dimitry. Most of them learn in the secondary school. I’m happy to be Dimitry, and I think it is a very beautiful name.
Our patron Saint unites us, because Dimitry Rostovsky was a priest and a man of letters. He composed many prayers, dramas, poems and described “Lives of the Saints”. That is why he is the Patron Saint of students. We have many universities, institutes, colleges and schools. Rostov-on-Don is the city of students.
